If you’ve ever wondered what became of the original Charlie Bucket (Peter Ostrum), here’s the skivvy, in short: He turned down a three picture deal after Willy Wonka, and grew up to become a veterinarian in the tiny hamlet of Lowville, NY. He doesn’t like to talk about his role in the movie, and he doesn’t grant interviews.

I cant belive this is charlie bucket lol love the film since i was no age ha ha ha never get sick of it :l
I really wish that Peter Ostrum (Charlie Bucket) would make a new Willie Wonka as he now running the factory and changes he made or left original. Like many I’m sure this is a classic show and cannot stand the new version. My children today love this show as I did when I was a little girl.
i would just like to say that my husband was a exact look alike the blond hair and all he even kept the hair cut and to this day his nickname is charlie he loved the movie so much he mad his mom dress him like charlie and dress him the same way as well lol she even went as far as to out a golden ticket in his Christmas stocking on year and his life long dream has been to meet the real Charlie and now our children are huge fans they have seen the new one but prefers yours we are so glad that you have made such a great life for yourself my daughter also wants to be a vet i think it is one of the best professions there ares so many animals in need she is not thrilled about snakes but everything else she loves best wishes The Gratson Family
I think he is selfish for not wanting to create another movie. Gene Wilder too.
A movie that teaches what 95 % of (all) society has forgotten. HONESTY!!!!!!!
Few movies teach such a strong value. It’s hard core truth at it’s best. Any human being that has a loving heart shed a tear when Charlie gave back the everlasting gobstopper.
We need a sequel. If those 2 do not want to be in it at least make a guest appearance.
Where have all the good writers gone?
